Luo Junjie said that since the beginning of this year, new energy vehicles have shown a good development trend of “accelerating improvement” in market size and development quality, which is mainly reflected in the following four aspects.

First, the scale of the industry hit a new high. The cumulative production and sales of new energy vehicles in the first quarter were 1.293 million and 1.257 million respectively, a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times. Second, Chinese brands are booming. The cumulative sales of Chinese brand new energy passenger vehicles both increased by 1.5 times year-on-year. The third is to accelerate the application of new technologies and new models. The cumulative production and sales of fuel cell vehicles increased by 7.2 times and 3.9 times year-on-year respectively, and the cumulative production of models in battery swap mode was close to 40,000, an increase of 82% year-on-year. The fourth is to accelerate the construction of charging and replacing infrastructure. A total of 492,000 charging piles of various types were built, a year-on-year increase of 3.6 times; 154 battery swap stations were built, a year-on-year increase of 1.6 times.
