UUGreenPower, world leading EV super charging module supplier, has initially launched the first generation IP65 high protective separate fan cooling charging module UR100030-IP65 in Q1,2021（pls refer to the first picture），which aims to solve the high failure rate problem faced by IP20 fan cooling module in the harsh application environment，so as to comprehensively improve the reliability and life cycle of the charging pile system.
According to market research, the annual failure rate for IP20 fan cooling module is about 1~2%, the average life cycle is about 3-5 years; In case the application environment is quite harsh ,for instance sandstorm, high temperature, high humidity, salt fog & condensation etc, then the annual failure rate would go much higher; whereas the annual failure rate of UR100030-IP65 high protective separate fan cooling module will be significantly reduced to 01.%, the life cycle will be prolonged to 8-10 years. The design of air passage isolation is adopted, which seals the high heating components, heat sink and transformer/inductance in the lower side of the air passage through filling glue package, so as to increase the heat dissipation efficiency.; The environmental sensitive components like chip, capacitor, etc are sealed in the upper side, the natural circulation for heat dissipation is executed internally, and the effect of anti-sand, water proof and anti-salt fog is reached(Pls refer to the second picture) .
UR100030-IP65 high protective module can decrease the maintenance cost for the charging pile, at the same time, It can also decrease the design cost in terms of anti-dust net and water proof for the charging pile. Basing on these advantages, UUGreenPower has made a comparative analysis by using a 120KW charging pile(30kWmodule*4), we chose IP20 and IP65 module to configure respectively and then compare TCO of the charging pile within 10 years life cycle. The result shows that starting from the third year of usage, the TCO advantage of IP65 will appear, it can save TCO for USD11000 in 5 years; USD35000 in 10 years(pls refer to the third picture)
Along with the development of the EV HPC, the high power output trend of the charging module is obvious, it is expected that the output power of charging module will increase from 20KW to 30KW/40KW, and even 60KW in the next 2-3 years, such trend will bring more challenges to the environmental protection capability of the charging modules along with higher output density, higher current and greater heat dissipation.
